{"id":70409,"date":"2021-11-06T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/voice-of-those-marching-must-be-heard-says-primus\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T09:33:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T09:33:45","slug":"voice-of-those-marching-must-be-heard-says-primus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/voice-of-those-marching-must-be-heard-says-primus\/","title":{"rendered":"Voice of those marching must be heard, says Primus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>As a reported 100,000 people marched through Glasgow on the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice, they were joined by the Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church who urged everyone to think about not just the words of politicians but the actions of the people who joined together today to demand change.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The COP26 march was delayed because of the huge numbers who turned out despite the wet and windy conditions. It took two hours for the marchers to proceed out of Kelvingrove Park, where they had assembled, on the walk to a rally at Glasgow Green. Once everyone was on the move, the march stretched for two miles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-51321\" src=\"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Primus-at-start.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Primus-at-start.jpg 557w, https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Primus-at-start-300x211.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Primus-at-start-400x281.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dozens of members of the Scottish Episcopal Church took part in the march, as part of the faith and Beliefs Bloc for Climate Justice.<\/p>\n<p>The Primus, Bishop Mark Strange, said: \u201cThe fact that we have been together in this way has been wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope when you see this on the news, don\u2019t just listen to the political words, but reflect.
