Crucified on Good Friday &#8211; his body was placed in a tomb. \u00a0Gradually his followers came to understand that the tomb was empty and Jesus was with them as a living presence. \u00a0It wasn&#8217;t easy for them &#8211; it wasn&#8217;t what they expected. \u00a0But an inexpressible joy grew in their hearts when they knew it to be true.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe word which expresses the meaning of that Easter faith is hope.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJesus was brought to a painful death by all of the jealousies and the misuse of power which are still common today across the world. \u00a0Easter says that God&#8217;s power is greater. \u00a0Christians through the ages believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is a living presence in our lives today<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHope is the difference which that faith makes in our lives. \u00a0Life may be rich, full and enjoyable. \u00a0But it is also full of challenge, sometimes of disappointment, anxiety and loss. \u00a0There is death in all of our lives. \u00a0But Easter says that there is hope &#8211; hope that death can be overcome by new resurrection life which God pours into our world &#8211; and into our lives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3_PKVtThVYQ\"><strong>Watch the Easter Message from the Primus<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3_PKVtThVYQ\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5323\" alt=\"Most Revd.
