The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will be the keynote speaker at the event organised by the Muslim Council of Wales and chaired by First Minister Carwyn Jones.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the Archbishop of Canterbury will be the Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, The Most Rev David Chillingworth; the Archbishop of Wales, Dr Barry Morgan, and Archbishop Richard Clarke of Ireland who will all be in St Michael\u2019s College, Cardiff for a meeting of the primates of the European region of the Anglican Communion.<\/p>\n<p>The event entitled: \u201cWorking for the Common Good: A Christian &amp; Islamic Perspective\u201d is being held to mark National Interfaith Week and will also mark the 10th anniversary of Cardiff University\u2019s renowned Centre for the Study of Islam in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The faith leaders leaders said they hoped it would send a message across Wales, the UK and internationally that inter-faith relations in Britain are strong, despite global tensions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An historic interfaith meeting involving all four Anglican Primates of Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England and members of the Welsh Muslim community will take place in\u00a0Cardiff\u00a0today.
