{"id":71252,"date":"2021-05-29T13:33:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-29T12:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/join-call-to-prayer-sunday-30-may-at-7pm\/"},"modified":"2021-05-29T13:33:00","modified_gmt":"2021-05-29T12:33:00","slug":"join-call-to-prayer-sunday-30-may-at-7pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hillside.work\/sec\/staging\/join-call-to-prayer-sunday-30-may-at-7pm\/","title":{"rendered":"Join Call to Prayer, Sunday 30 May at 7pm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Scottish Episcopal Church and other denominations join together in prayer on Sunday at 7pm, as they have done throughout the coronavirus pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many of those joining together on Trinity Sunday in prayer, which appears below in English and Gaelic, will also light candles.<\/p>\n<p>In a joint message, church leaders in Scotland said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vision of the Lord offered by the prophet Isaiah is one in which the presence of the living God fills the Temple and we hear resounding from every corner the cry:<\/p>\n<p><em>Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The whole earth is full of his glory<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Temple itself is shaken as the fulness of God\u2019s presence is revealed. The prophet Isaiah can do no more than acknowledge who he is before God. Yet, even as he senses his own weakness, he hears the voice of the Lord calling: \u2018Whom shall I send?\u2019 In response, Isaiah says: \u2018Here am I. Send me!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, in the midst of all we face, the fulness of the living God is made known to us in Creation and revealed through Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and by the Holy Spirit as our Sustainer. In our weakness, we also may hear the voice of the Lord calling: \u2018Whom shall I send?\u2019 In response, we also may say: \u2018Here am I.
