This Sunday, they continue to \u201cencourage Christians in Scotland to engage actively, constructively, and charitably in the democratic process of the General Election\u201d with this prayer:<\/p>\n<p>God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,<br \/>\nMaker of heaven and earth<br \/>\nAnd of all things visible and invisible.<br \/>\nWe turn to you in search of wisdom for our times<br \/>\nAnd the assurance that, in all things,<br \/>\nYou remain sovereign and ruler over all.<br \/>\nLord, in your mercy,<br \/>\n<em>Hear our prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You are sovereign and ruler over all<br \/>\nAnd so, in the discerning of who might best govern our nation,<br \/>\nWe turn to you once more.<br \/>\nGrant to us, and to all who seek your will,<br \/>\nA desire to see good governance established<br \/>\nIn the interests of all who inhabit these lands.<br \/>\nLord, in your mercy,<br \/>\n<em>Hear our prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You are concerned for the interests of all<br \/>\nAnd you deny to no one the dignity and integrity<br \/>\nThat belong to all who are made in your image.<br \/>\nGrant to us a concern for all who stand on the margins of society<br \/>\nAnd the courage to affirm their dignity and integrity<br \/>\nAnd so to stand in solidarity with them.<br \/>\nLord, in your mercy,<br \/>\n<em>Hear our prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You stand in solidarity with us,<br \/>\nEven through Jesus Christ<br \/>\nYour Word made flesh who lived amongst us.<br \/>\nGrant to us the ongoing commitment to pray for, and to engage with,<br \/>\nThose who are elected to govern in our name<br \/>\nThat we might see our society better reflect the Kingdom that is to come.<br \/>\nLord, in your mercy,<br \/>\n<em>Hear our prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Signed:<br \/>\nMost Rev.
