Craig a Senior Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Glasgow, with research interests in health inequality and environmental modelling. He has a particular interest in spatial statistics and disease mapping, where one can identify regions of high risk which require additional health care resources. Craig also works with child growth data, identifying and developing suitable modelling strategies to accurately capture the growth trajectories of young children in low and middle income countries to identify the social and environmental factors which may lead to poor growth. He also develops and applies statistical models for air pollution, water quality and renewable energy.

Craig has a passion for communicating statistics and engaging the general public, both in terms of developing their general understanding of the subject and also in terms of disseminating the key results of his research. This includes working with schools and similar organisations to encourage children to pursue careers in STEM.
