Matthew is a Museum Manager and Curator; previously he was Curator for the Scottish Maritime Museum caring for Scotland’s national maritime collection before being appointed Museum Manager at HMS Unicorn in 2021 to guide the organisation through Accreditation and advocate for Scotland’s oldest ship.
He is currently the Chair of the subject specialist network STICK (Scottish Transport and Industry Collections Knowledge Network), a Museum Association Representative for Scotland, Board Member of Museums Galleries Scotland and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries Scotland.
Matthew’s work centres around preserving industrial and transport heritage and making it accessible and engaging for as wide an audience as possible.
