Santiago Romero-Vargas Castrillon

Santiago is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. He previously served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Santiago received a PhD in chemical engineering from Princeton University, and carried out postdoctoral research in environmental engineering at Yale University. His research interests include colloid and interface science in environmental systems, membrane-based processes for (waste)water treatment, and the environmental applications and implications of nanomaterials and nanoplastics. Santiago was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico.
