Sarah Wotton

Sarah is interested in education, sustainability and policy. She works at Zero Waste Scotland on the Circular Economy. Her current focus is on education and skills and her latest publication maps the circular economy jobs and skills landscape in Scotland. She is developing educational material and wants to influence education in all sectors at all levels to mainstream circular economy thinking.

Previously, Sarah worked at the David Hume Institute, a Scottish think tank. Before living in Scotland, Sarah worked on sustainable development policy for the United Nations Development Programme while living in Brazil.

Sarah originally trained as a science teacher before moving into teacher training in a variety of education settings where she worked for the best part of a decade. During this time, she led the expansion of Teach First, the UK’s largest education charity, into the East of England.

Sarah has degrees from Imperial College London and Canterbury Christ Church University.
