Science for climate policy in a low-latitude coastal nation: a conversation with Vietnam researchers

|

Leslie Mabon

As Scotland prepares to host COP26, the RSE Young Academy of Scotland is hosting a variety of discussions about what climate change means for Scotland and the world, and what we can and should do in response.

As part of the Young Academy of Scotland’s ‘Road to COP26’ series, YAS member Leslie Mabon (Open University) talks to three researchers from the Institute of Human Geography in the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences about their experiences of conducting research on climate change in Vietnam. Doan Thi Thu Huong, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Le Hong Ngoc talk about how their research supports policy in Vietnam and helps to understand the effects of climate change on coastal communities. In association with Future Earth Coasts, through Leslie Mabon’s role as a Future Earth Coasts Fellow.
