Dr Caroline Gauchotte-Lindsay is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Engineering. With work at the boundary between engineering and science, she strives to tackle some of the World’s most pressing environmental challenges such as pollution and water scarcity. Her research employs state-of-the-art analytical and spectroscopic approaches to track and remediate contaminants, e.g. persistent organic pollutants, personal care products and micro plastics, in the natural environment and in engineered systems. She has developed solid partnerships with industry and policy makers. She is also an active player in issues around diversity and inclusion in STEM, and is co-programme director on the EPSRC VisNET project and a member of the TIGERs in STEMM.
