As an Associate Researcher at Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Issraa works jointly between Cancer Biology and Drug Delivery labs. She plays an essential part in research and student supervision and brings her expertise in the pharmaceutical sciences to the development of age-appropriate medicines for children that targets cancer cells without affecting healthy cells.
Issraa held the position of lecturer at the Drug Delivery Department, College of Pharmacy in Iraq in 2011 and prior to this was a Formulation Consultant at Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Ltd in Iraq.
She did her BSc in Pharmacy Sciences and MSc in Drug Delivery at the University of Baghdad in Iraq and her PhD was in Drug Delivery and Targeting at Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences in Glasgow, Scotland.
