Joanne Ingram

Joanne is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of the West of Scotland. She has a range of interests focused on cognition including cognitive function and brain fog in chronic illnesses such as long Covid and myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome. She also has a special interest in language and reading and has expertise in using eye tracking methods to consider preferred styles of communication.

 

More broadly Joanne is interested in wellbeing and public health, and particularly in the communication of health information. She also collaborates with the Mindfulness Association in the training of mindfulness teachers.

 

Joanne’s long-term aims are to consider the effects of message content on public health, particularly in relation to long-term illness, cognitive function, and psychological wellbeing
