Kavul was born in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo. He received his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester in 2016.
Kavul is currently a Systems Designer/Arch Engineer at Allegro MicroSystems with a primary responsibility in the development, verification, and support for motor control products. His current research interests are in electric machines modelling and gate drive designs, advanced motor control for automotive applications, and real-time condition monitoring of electrical machines. Kavul is also interested in the climate change projects. Climate change is perhaps the most pressing issue facing humanity. Kavul is committed to using his engineering expertise to help combat climate change and make the world a greener and fairer place for all.
