Kitty Meeks currently holds a Royal Society of Edinburgh Personal Research Fellowship at the University of Glasgow, where she carries out research at the interface of mathematics and computer science. Her main interest is in designing algorithms which exploit structural properties of real-world datasets in order to extract information from this data efficiently. This has applications in many different areas, including epidemiology, spatial statistics and computational chemistry.
