Dr. Nathan Bailey is an evolutionary biologist interested in extremely rapid adaptation. His research group studies the role of social behaviour during that process, using genomics, behavioural experiments, fieldwork, and mathematical modelling. Singing insects feature prominently in his group’s research, which tests how evolution works in real-time, in the wild. Dr. Bailey is a Reader at the University of St Andrews and holds an advanced research fellowship from the Natural Environment Research Council.
