Ruth Dukes

Ruth is Professor of Labour Law at the University of Glasgow. Her research interests lie in the fields of employment law, labour law, and labour history, with a particular focus on workers’ collective rights, and theories and systems of worker representation. Outside of the University, Ruth is involved in labour rights advocacy, policy and think-tank activities within the labour movement. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Employment Rights (IER), a Liverpool and London-based think-tank for the labour movement. In 2017, Ruth joined the Project Board of the Jimmy Reid Foundation.
