Sandra Quinn

Sandra is a chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and spent 16 years in the University sector as a researcher before moving into the third sector. Sandra is the Health Services Research Manager in a UK-based charity that is dedicated to myeloma and their related conditions. Her early career used psychophysical techniques to understand how the brain processes temporal information in the auditory and visual sensory modalities and built theoretical computational models. She pivoted into health research and now focuses on chronic disease, reducing health inequalities, digital health, shared decision making, and communication skills in clinical consultations.

Sandra collaborates with UK research leaders to radically improve the patient experience of diagnosis, treatment and care. She is passionate about embedding Patient and Public Involvement into research and works in academia, policy and practice to ensure the patient voice is heard by the NHS and UK Government.
