Scott Spurlock is Head of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow. He has researched and taught Scottish and Irish history at several leading universities including Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Trinity College Dublin, Queen’s University Belfast and Manchester. With the help of a RSE Networking grant he established the Scottish Religious Cultures Network in 2015 to support study of the historic and ongoing role of religion in Scottish society. This aim is further supported through his editorship of the peer-reviewed journal Scottish Church History and the book series ‘Scottish Religious Cultures: Historical Perspectives’, both with EUP. He seeks to support public engagement with Scottish history through delivering a MOOC on early modern Scottish palaeography.
