  Join the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra for our annual Hogmanay celebration as we say goodbye to 2022.

  Performing a magical evening of Scottish music, we will entertain you with a celebration of lively, toe-tapping jigs and reels and poignant slow airs, mixed with a sprinkling of well-known songs and pipe music.

  This is an ideal event for all ages and any group outing.

  Mirror, Mirror on the wall – who’s Panto is the most magical of them all!

  With the King’s closed for two years for a major redevelopment, this Christmas Edinburgh’s panto legends are bringing all the sparkle, scale, and spectacle of the King’s Panto to the Festival Theatre!

  Adapted by Tony Cownie from the novel by Charles Dickens

  “Humbug! You think I have nothing better to do with my money than squander it on that manky halfwit dog!”

  Edinburgh folklore tells us that when Charles Dickens was visiting the city on a reading tour, a stroll through a kirkyard brought him to the tombstone of one Ebenezer Scroggie, inspiration struck and A Christmas Carol was born.

  Writer and director Tony Cownie (The Venetian Twins, The Belle’s Stratagem) brings this famous festive story back to the city of its birth with a guest appearance from Edinburgh’s best-loved Victorian – Greyfriars Bobby! Join us on the snowy streets of the Old Town for a festive comedy as we revisit this celebrated Christmas tale of a miser redeemed.

  This glorious production of Lerner & Loewe’s world-famous musical features the much-loved classic songs I Could Have Danced All Night, Get Me to the Church on Time, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, On the Street Where You Live, The Rain in Spain, and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.

  Come and join the celebrations as the SCO marks the arrival of 2023 in style – with music to lift the spirits and seduce the senses.

  Passionate, joyful and exuberant, Joseph Swensen is a former SCO Principal Conductor and a much-loved figure in concert halls around the world. He’s on the podium for a flavoursome concert of exquisite musical bon-bons and lollipops from the Strauss family’s Vienna and far beyond – from the graceful lapping of The Blue Danube to the foot-tapping cheer of the majestic Radetzky March.

  Outstanding German violinist Kolja Blacher joins the Orchestra for two sensuous classics of French sophistication: the elegant romance of Chausson’s luscious Poème and the fiery gypsy flavours of Ravel’s sparkling Tzigane.
